About Us
The BIN-RDI is managed by the University of California, Santa Cruz, with participation from higher education partners San Jose State University, and the Foothill DeAnza Community College District. Together with NASA researchers and industry affiliates, the academic partners of the BIN-RDI are modeling new forms of public/private partnership, and demonstrating how diversity in institutional perspectives as well as academic and research disciplines, can lead to solutions that accelerate the pace of innovation.
The BIN-RDI is currently located in the Advanced Studies Laboratory (ASL) on the campus of the NASA Ames Research Center. The ASL is a jointly administered project of NASA Ames and the University of California, Santa Cruz. The ultimate destination of the BIN-RDI will be a new and expanded facility with specialized labs and equipment to be co-located with NASA within the planned University Associates Silicon Valley NASA Research Park on 77 acres of land at Moffett Field in Mountain View, California.
